Project Workshops, based at Lains Farm, Quarley, held their summer exhibition from May 7th to May 9th.

"In addition to the resident artists, there were a number of visiting artists to add to the usual attractions. This was the first time I had been to the Project Workshops since they opened their new workshops in The Granary, and this represents a massive expansion in the capacity of the workshops. Mandy and Richard Atkinson-Wills were good enough to show Aurelia and me around, and it was great that they were able to use the exhibition as a fundraising opportunity for the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research Trust."

There was a full programme of demonstrations, and the formal opening took place on the Friday with an Italian Gala Evening featuring Hatstand Opera. Burbidge's provided some homemade refreshments, and there was a range of sculpture exhibitions in the open air.

"I also saw the new 4,000 sq ft sculpture foundry, which is one of the most modern and competitive in the country. We are enormously fortunate in North West Hampshire to have Project Workshops as a resource for artists, and it was fantastic to see it go from strength to strength".
