A Medieval Fair was held at the Royal Oak in Ecchinswell to raise funds for charities such as the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
"They could hardly have asked for worse weather - it was very cold and wet - but there was a good turnout in the pub and under the tents for a wide range of attractions."
"The parade of children was abandoned, and my role was to hold an umbrella over the accordion player as he and the band walked from the vilage hall to the Royal Oak."
The Royal Oak is on the market, and local people are hoping either to buy it themselves or for someone else to buy it who will commit to it as a local pub
