"This was a very ambitious project for a small Primary School to put on, and they did it very well. The costumes were authentic, as were the props. I hope they raise a useful sum of money for the school."

One of the attractions was a coconut shy, with a contemporary theme. "Roger Baskerville put David Cameron's face on some of the coconuts, and Gordon Brown's on others. There may have been some Clegg ones as well. I am happy to say I dislodged a Brown coconut which may, I hope, be a sign of things to come."

"I celebrated with a small quantity of mead."

(I was invited to this event before Parliament was dissolved, and did no campaigning at it. Cllr David Kirk opened it in my place)
