At 8.30 at the Gill Nethercott Centre in Whitchurch, the lights were turned out for an hour to mark Earth Hour.
"Andrew Reeves-Hall and his team organised a marvellous evening, which had as its theme raising the profile of climate change and global warming. There was a quiz with environmental knowledge as its theme, and a candle-lit supper of healthy environmentally conscious food. Many of my constituents turned out their lights for an hour, and, as we approach a general election, I hope this will help ensure that environmental issues become one of the topics in the campaign."
