Rhonda Smith hosted a fundraising event for the charity 'for dementia', which is raising funds for Admiral Nurses. £120 was raised at this event. "Time for a Cuppa is a national campaign being launched on February 1st, aimed at raising funds to improve the lives of those affected by dementia. They will do this through supporting the development of Admiral Nursing services, and funding a helpline".
"This is on the same lines as Macmillan Nurses, providing an extra resource specifically focussed on dementia, and I wish the campaign every success".
The campaign is backed by the charity's patron, Fiona Phillips, and Sir George hopes that it will raise funds for Admiral Nurses in Hampshire. "Although there are some Admiral Nurses in Southampton, at the moment there aren't any in Hampshire and I very much hope that these can be recruited in due course".
